About
Artist Statement:
I am a wife and mother with an uncontainable creative spirit. I paint, write, and compose to explore my faith and the beauty of Creation.
My art often begins with with the relationship between words and images. Most of my pieces reflect or contemplate the narrative behind the image, whether that is my own writing or scriptural references. Much of my wildlife art depicts portrait style images of animals. Each of these animals has a personality and a story (either true to life or imagined as I create). I prefer using natural pigments and mixing my own acrylic based paint. My signature color scheme features a limited palette focused on warm earth tones and highlighted with metallic copper.
